The Nationals fought hard last night, but came up short after the Royals had a big 6th inning. These competitive losses still sting but feel a lot better than those blowouts we have become so used to. The Nats put up a fight last night, that is all you can ask for.
The Nats will add some more firepower to the bottom of the order tonight, replacing Jacob Young with Robert Hassell III in center field. Red hot Paul DeJong will stay at third over Brady House. I like the move from Miguel Cairo, which shows that playing time is earned not handed out. Mitchell Parker is on the mound looking to get on track.
The Royals are also making a couple tweaks. Long time Red Jonathan India will be in the lineup at second base. Tyler Tolbert will patrol center field. The danger man for the Royals is Bobby Witt Jr., who is one of the great five tool players in our game. Veteran Michael Wacha will be on the mound for the Royals. His changeup is one of the best in the sport.

After a hard fought defeat last night, the Nats will try to push to make some improvements to get that curly W tonight. Mitchell Parker needs to keep the team in the game and not get lit up early. Feel free to comment on all things Nationals baseball down below.
