USA Pickleball Serves, USA Pickleball’s charitable arm, hosted a learn-to-play clinic for over 70 youth in grades fifth and sixth at Dana Middle School in San Diego on Friday, January 24th, 2025.. Students learned the basics of the game taught by USA Pickleball, the National Governing Body of the sport, ambassadors and staff supporting the organization’s mission of inclusive play, educational youth programming, and court enhancements.
“Through USA Pickleball Serves events like today’s clinic, we’re proud to inspire youth to embrace the of pickleball,” said Brenda Puga, Director of Community Relations for USA Pickleball Serves. “This initiative not only promotes physical activity but also fosters inclusivity and a lifelong love for the game. It’s amazing to see how pickleball brings students together, building confidence, teamwork and a sense of community.”
During the clinic, students were divided into teams to participate in skills stations and learn pickleball fundamentals before taking to the courts. USA Pickleball Ambassadors and staff led students in various drills, competitions and matches.
