USA Pickleball Serves, the charitable arm of USA Pickleball, today announced the second round of recipients for its Grow the Game Grant Program, awarding grants to 54 community organizations, schools, and recreation programs across the country. Through this round, USA Pickleball will expand access to the sport of pickleball in 28 states, impacting a projected 300,942 individuals.
A key initiative of USA Pickleball Serves, the Grow the Game Grant Program provides essential equipment bundles to community organizations and schools that are beginning or maintaining programs and increasing exposure to the sport. The first round of awardees was announced earlier this year, impacting an estimated 192,286 individuals, bringing the total impact of the first two rounds to nearly half a million individuals.
“The Grow the Game program reflects our belief that pickleball should be accessible to everyone, and that Pickleball is for All,” said Brenda Puga, Director of Community Relations for USA Pickleball. “With this second round of grants, we are empowering schools, parks, and organizations nationwide to introduce pickleball to hundreds of thousands of people who may be picking up a paddle for the very first time.”
