County pals Cook and Cox get England call
Uncapped Essex duo Sam Cook and Jordan Cox have been named in England’s squad for the one-off four-day Test against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge starting on May 22.
It’s Cook’s first call-up to the England senior squad after several years as one of the most consistent and successful performers on the county circuit, while Cox returns to the squad for the first time since a broken finger denied him a Test debut against New Zealand last November.
