Azam Khan, who hails from Pakistan, started his international career in 2021 against England. Since then, he has played 14 matches in the T20 format but has only made a scarce 88 runs. Heavy criticism regarding his fitness has always surrounded Azam, thanks to his father, ex-cricketer Moin Khan. Despite showing some promise in franchise cricket, his occasional lack of discipline and fitness have often come in the way.
Recently, the former captain of Pakistan Younis Khan stated that Azam should take care of his diet if he desires a prolonged cricket career. Younis emphasized that one can eat and enjoy good food but ought to have discipline. We all love burgers-I do too-but as athletes, we have to put a limit on ourselves. Diet and discipline are of utmost importance at this level. If Azam wants to be successful, he must build his workout routine. There are no shortcuts,” Younis added.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is in the news, but its broadcast may go off air soon. Following tensions after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the PCB now intends to replace all seasoned Indian crew members working for the PSL broadcast. PCB sources have confirmed that most of the production team consists of Indian nationals, and they are being taken through expediting the replacement process in order for the show to go on. After the National Security Council meeting in Islamabad, it was announced that all Indian nationals need to leave Pakistan within the next 48 hours.
