Vladimir Guerrero Jr. revealed on Tuesday that he is going to test free agency after the upcoming season, and the slugger reportedly has his eye on one specific American League team.
Guerrero told the Blue Jays he would not be willing to negotiate a contract extension after the start of spring training, and the 25-year-old insists he is sticking to that deadline. With no agreement in place, Guerrero said Tuesday that the Blue Jays are “going to have to compete with 29 other teams” to sign him next winter.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports, Guerrero has already told people close to him that he would love to play for the Boston Red Sox.
