Stolarz is making his 13th start, posting a 6-5-1 record with an .889 save percentage. The 31-year-old has struggled for the Maple Leafs, while operating as their clear top goaltender, while Joseph Woll works his way back into form after a leave of absence. Stolarz was pulled from Saturday’s 5-3 loss against the Boston Bruins, after allowing four goals, with Dennis Hildeby taking over during the second period.

Jeremy Swayman is expected to start in goal for the Bruins.

Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube lightly reshuffled his forward corps, with Nick Robertson back on the top line alongside Matthew Knies and Auston Matthews. Robertson has recorded seven points in his past six games, and is in the best offensive form of his career.

John Tavares will centre the second line with Bobby McMann and William Nylander on his wings. Tavares and Nylander are both tied for fourth in the NHL with 14 points at 5-on-5, prior to Tuesday’s slate.

“At times we did some really good things, earned opportunities, and we’re able to give ourselves a lead,” Tavares said Sunday night. “And then our game just, for whatever reason, becomes really immature and we don’t manage the game very well.”

Steven Lorentz is projected to reenter the lineup, with Calle Jarnkrok appearing to be a healthy scratch for Tuesday’s game.

It’s a key divisional game, and the Maple Leafs cannot afford to lose ground early in a hotly contested Atlantic Division race.
