Australian players set new tricks to catch India off guard
India have been insulted by the Australian players over their conduct against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. The Indian team engaged in several controversies associated with the attacks on Pahalgam, as well as their Operation Sindoor.
“We all know India’s on their way, but we have identified one critical weakness. Now we know they are not huge fans of the Traditional greeting, so we can throw them off even before they bowl a ball,” said the KayoSports presenters.
All the Australian players, including the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Ellis, Mitchell Marsh, and Matt Short, alongside Women cricketers Alyssa Healy, Alana King, Tahila McGarth, and Sophie Molineux, paired up in the exclusive show.
“We got the Travis Head finger in the ice cup,” remarked Mitchell Marsh, the Australia skipper.
“We got the healing hands, don’t we, Kingy!!” Alyssa Healy paired alongside Alana King for their trademark celebration.
“We’re thinking the popcorn,” said Nathan Ellis, while Matt Short added immediately, saying, “Get some salt on it.”
Josh Hazlewood brings out “The Shooter” to make a mockery of the India-Pakistan controversies
Josh Hazlewood has had a long rivalry with the Indian side; however, he is also associated with the IPL, having played with several Indian players in the CSK and RCB camps. Josh was also part of RCB’s victorious campaign in IPL 2025.
Hazlewood is likely to miss some part of the India T20I series but will be playing alongside Mitchell Starc in the ODIs. Ever since his return from injury, Josh has been a star performer, and with the relatively less participation from Starc and Cummins, he often emerges as their most experienced hat.
This time, he has poked fun at the Indian competitors, giving an early glimpse of the India vs Australia rivalry. “What about the Shooter? The Shooter!” Josh Hazlewood took a direct dig at India’s troubled relations and the recently evolved controversies since the Asia Cup.
Australia lose Carey, Inglis, and Zampa for the Perth ODI
The Australians have not announced their squad for all the games of the upcoming series against India. Australia are likely to miss the services of their seasoned all-rounder Glenn Maxwell for the T20I series.
Moreover, they will depend largely on their players like Travis Head, skipper Mitchell Marsh, and all-rounder Cameron Green, since the middle-order players like Alex Carey and Josh Inglis have been ruled out of the first ODI.
Adam Zampa, the renowned spinner in the Australian side, has also been sidelined from the first ODI and is expected to return before the Adelaide game.
