Elanga, Burn & Anderson start – Confirmed Newcastle & Nottingham Forest line-ups

The team sheets are in at St James’ Park, where Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United take on Ange Postecoglou’s Nottingham Forest in today’s 2pm kick-off.

Newcastle are looking to make it two wins this week after beating Union SG 4-0 on Wednesday night, while Ange’s Reds are under pressure after four defeats and two draws since he took over from Nuno.

Here is how the two sides line up for today’s game live on Sky Sports:

Newcastle XIPope – Trippier, Thiaw, Botman, Burn – Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton – Elanga, Woltemade, Gordon.

Subs: Ramsdale, Lascelles, Krafth, Miley, Osula, Willock, Barnes, Murphy, Schar.

Forest XI: Sels – Savona, Jair Cunha, Milenković, Morato, Williams – Anderson, Yates – Gibbs-White, Ndoye – Wood.

Subs: Victor, Murillo, Sangaré, Domínguez, McAtee, Hudson-Odoi, Jesus, Hutchinson, Bakwa

Howe has named an unchanged side from our midweek win in Europe, seeing Dan Burn remain at left-back and Anthony Elanga start on the right wing once again against his former club.

Lewis Hall misses out from the squad for the second league game running, and there is no Jacob Ramsey, despite suggestions he would return this afternoon from an ankle issue.

Elliot Anderson starts for the visitors, as does ex-Mags Chris Wood and Matz Sels as Ange switches to a back five. However, Brazilian centre-back Murillo is only fit for the bench after limping off in their Thursday night defeat in the Europa League.

A big opportunity to keep the momentum going and fire ourselves up the league after last Sunday’s disappointment at home to Arsenal.

Howay the lads!
