‘Rally Reds’ do it again with walk-off victory vs. Blue Jays

The “Rally Reds” are at it again in Cincinnati. The nickname given to the young and promising Cincinnati Reds last season has stuck around for yet another season.

The Reds earned the nickname in a major way Monday when they came back to shock the Toronto Blue Jays with a 5-4 walk-off win.

Cincinnati led 2-1 headed to the top of the ninth before its closer, Emilio Pagan, allowed home runs to Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette and outfielder Daulton Varsho. That put the Reds in a 4-2 hole going into the bottom of the ninth.
