Earlier today, FC Barcelona’s reserve team, Barça Atletic, played a ‘behind-closed-doors’ friendly against Atletic Lleida at Estadi Johan Cruyff.
The game saw the involvement of several promising young talents from the club, including some players who have been in the first-team dynamics under Hansi Flick, but were released to play the friendly game.
Roony Bardghji, Guille Fernandez shine
With details from the game filtering out, SPORT now claims that Barcelona new signing Roony Bardghji and La Masia gem Guille Fernandez were two of the best players for Barça Atletic, as they won 3-2.
Bardghji, who was absent from first-team training earlier in the day, delivered a superb individual display for the reserve team.
Constantly troubling the Lleida defence, the winger created several chances, won a penalty and converted it with a cheeky Panenka finish, underlining his confidence and flair.

Not to be outdone, Guille produced his own moment of magic, as the midfielder rifled a spectacular strike into the top corner.
The La Masia wonderkid’s performance was a timely reminder of his vast potential amid growing interest from top European clubs.
Aziz Issah scored the third goal for Barça Atletic.
Meanwhile, another player from the first-team dynamics, Hector Fort, also participated in the match, even captaining Barça Atletic in the first period.
Toni Fernandez also impressed during his 60 minutes on the pitch. Although he did not score, the winger showed glimpses of the quality that could see him push for a first-team role under Hansi Flick later this season.
